What makes La Hun Manuka Honey so special?
Our Manuka honey’s antibacterial properties are what set it apart from traditional honey.
Methylglyoxal (MGO) is its active ingredient and likely responsible for these antibacterial effects. (In fact, research has shown that it appears to have activity against E. coli and S. aureus and may help prevent formation of biofilms.) Additionally, La Hun Manuka Honey has antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits.

La Hun Manuka Honey's unique and natural formulation makes it super easy to apply on your skin and wash off! We made sure that it's the application and removal process is gentle!
Is La Hun Manuka Honey Ethically Sourced?
Absolutely! All of our honey is only ethically and sustainably sourced from beekeeping farms all around New Zealand.
The market has many different companies that sell 'Manuka Honey' however they do not label their products according to the official MGO/UMF guidelines making it hard to tell what actual grade the honey is. La Hun guarantees complete transparency with our customers and label our jars according to official New Zealand government standards so you can be sure you are getting the real deal every time.
We only work with specialised producers of Manuka Honey in special farms that are geotagged so each jar of honey can be traced back to the exact beekeeping farm it came from.
Is La Hun Manuka Honey safe to eat during pregnancy?
Yes! La Hun Manuka Honey is safe to eat while pregnant. There are no recommendations to avoid consuming honey if you are pregnant, unless you have type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes.
